The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the examination schedule for the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 exam. This stage follows the declaration of the Tier 1 results, which were published earlier along with the merit list on the official SSC website.
Candidates who have successfully cleared Tier 1 are now preparing for the next crucial phase of the recruitment process, which plays a decisive role in final selection.
Number of Candidates Qualified for Tier 2:
A total of 1,39,395 candidates have qualified the Tier 1 examination and are eligible to appear for the Tier 2 exam. This stage determines selection for various Group B and Group C posts under central government departments.
SSC CGL Tier 2 Post-Wise Qualification Details:
- 6,196 candidates qualified for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)
- 2,781 candidates cleared for Statistical Investigator Grade II
- 1,30,418 candidates qualified for all other posts
Important Instructions for Tier 2 Candidates:
Candidates must carry the following documents to the examination centre:
- Valid Photo Identity Proof
- SSC CGL Tier 2 Admit Card

What Happens After Tier 2?
After the Tier 2 examination, SSC will release the results online. Shortlisted candidates may be called for document verification and skill tests, wherever applicable. The final merit list will be prepared based on cumulative performance.
